What is FFTC?

Fashion for the Cure (FFTC) is an organization at Sycamore High School that works with The Dragonfly Foundation, a local nonprofit that raises awareness and support for children with pediatric cancer and their families. FFTC is most famous at SHS for the annual fashion shows, which are organized by a committee of 15 girls dedicated to providing pediatric cancer patients with strength, courage, and joy. >|<

Fashion shows:

The student body plays a key role in the fashion shows. Models from each grade apply and are selected to walk in the fashion show in pairs. In the 2019 show, underclassmen modeled casualwear from T.J. Maxx, and upperclassmen modeled formal attire from Folchi's and Bridal & Formal. In addition, some of the students in Ms. Klemt's fashion class design their own pieces, which are worn in the fashion show by models of their choice. These models walk with some of the Dragonflies (the kids with pediatric cancer supported by The Dragonfly Foundation). There are even special performances by current and former Dragonflies! Additionally, we have raffle baskets, auction items, and even split-the-pot during the show. In 2019, FFTC raised over $48,000 for the Dragonfly Foundation. The 14th annual fashion show is coming up on March 6, 2020. Make sure you save the date! Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
